The movie “freedom writers” highlights la discrimination of society for the poor students or of races in any city of U.S.A. The administration of college and the teachers think that children can’t change your lifes, that they don’t want to have other possibilities for your lifes.
The teacher have hope in her students, in your chances of change. It produces in she an transformation in her life vision. She wants help them but the society don’t believe them.
She believe them permit they change. The students have a few opportunities. She will give them an chance and they change.
the students in the movie have in common with my students that they don’t have many opportunities of learning. And the violence in your neighborhoods is similar.
Like in the most of school of Medellin, the Institución Educativa República de Uruguay present basic problems of convivence such as the Bullying, aggressive behavior, fightings for several reasons, and also for the neighborhood violence. In the last year my institution had haved many problems of convivence such as treats to teachers and coordinators and conformation of gangs. An small group of students made a gang that disturbed the school environment
The community learned to act like, but we should teach other ways.
My students don’t know they can change your lifes, they don’t see other opportunities in your lifes as the movie students. But our work is give them other thinking about the world. Well, they don’t repeat the past of your parents.
